On Friday, January 18th, 2019 I will be conducting a Socratic teaching workshop at the Infinity School here in London.
My workshop will focus on how to compose Socratic questions, how to run a Socratic discussion in the classroom/studio, and will examine the mindset involved in Socratic thinking.
One aspect of the workshop I am most looking forward to exploring is the aesthetics and poetics behind the art of Socratic teaching. I am currently working with Aristotle’s Poetics and Nietzsche’s The Birth of Tragedy in preparation for the event.

March Break Poetry Workshop at Sherwood Library
Jeremy Marks, a 2015 Poetry London award-winning poet, writer and educator will be hosting a four day workshop at the Sherwood Branch of the London Library from March 15-18th. Participants will get inspired and learn how to compose poems, explore different poetic styles, give a public reading and participate in the creation of an electronic poetry journal (E-zine) which will be made available via Jeremy’s website. Print copies of the journal will be available to each participant.
