Thank you to Mosh Lit for publishing my piece, “Play pioneer” which you can read here:
Unlikely Stories has always been very good to me. It is an honor to be published by them again. I also appreciate that they are asking their authors to recommend a charity which they can promote. I chose the Center for Biological Diversity (a link to it is at the end of my posted bio on their website).

From Verse of Silence (Spring 2019):
be like Brahma
We spent the afternoon listening to cracking trees
and rescuing voles pushed from their holes
by the surging river
I remember saying
let’s take the ferry if it’s running
the tide has never been higher
and my companion said
we’re wearing ponchos and boots
up to our knees
the time has never been better
These were suburban adventures.
I would watch rain fall
and wonder how the water
would school be cancelled
in a divine blessing
while my father thought over
insurance like a good accountant
the way any householder considering
the future for his children would
saying non-being is my being
ready to drown in cold water.

I am honoured that Writers Resist has two of my poems on their site today.
When I work with students in creative writing I like to tell them that poetry, plays, and fiction can be about anything they like. It is a canvas for their imagination and they can use it to delve into areas of the silly and absurd as life often is both. . . among other things.
Anyway, I like to try and practice what I preach, that is, I like to try and put my own work (and myself) out there. This is why I am using my website to share my publications.
Chase Dimock and As It Ought To Be Magazine have been kind enough to publish this poem of mine:
What a treat to have my micro piece “Elephants and Dolphins” see the light of day at Microfiction Monday Magazine. You can read the piece here: https://microfictionmondaymagazine.com
I am delighted that my poem “Something illegal” is in the latest edition of KYSO Flash. You can read it here: http://www.kysoflash.com/Issue11/MarksIllegal.aspx
